According to Markitecture, only 6% will buy an iPhone in the coming year. Here are the reasons why people won't and what percentage feel that way.

Why isn't there a "I already own a different brand of phone which already does everything an iPhone will do and more." category?

Like a Sony Ericsson, or Palm Treo, or LG LaPrada, or Nokia N95. All these phones have been out for a while, have more features than an iPhone, and (except for the Nokia) cost about 1/2 as much.

The smartphone scene is VERY crowded, and there are many phones offering more than iPhone does, for less money.
