It's interesting that the sulfur dioxide emissions decreased from 2001 to 2006 but then increased somewhat in 2007. Overall, the downward trend is good since it's helping improve the water quality in rivers and streams, but the increase in 2007 isn't a good sign.

That is interesting. Did NEC provide any possible reasons for this increase in 2007? What sorts of things may have caused this increase?

Hmm, I do not think it went up in 2007; per se, I think it went down in 2006. It almost seems that there was a decrease initially, and then it began to platue around 53. In 2006 however, there is a significant drop, but in 2007, it goes back on its original platue. I wonder what might have caused this drop.
