I really like this graph. I never gave much thought into whaling and this graph made me do a little research into the topic. The Japanese are the biggest proponent in whaling and both Norway and Iceland exports their whaling catches to Japan. It's main use seems to be food in Japan like all other sea animals. Makes me want to add whale to my list of must try foods next time I visit Japan. It's right there next to dolphin. Yum!

It would be great to see some data on whaling in Japan, in more recent years, to show if there is a decline. :)
