The graph shows the highest earning, non-living celebrities comparing 2006 to 2001. Interesting to note that Kurt Cobain, who places first on the highest earning list for 2006, was not even on the 2001 top 13. Nor was Albert Einstein. What made their earnings pick up? According to Forbes, their estates continue to make money by inking deals involving both their work and the rights to use their name and likenesses on merchandise and marketing campaigns.
