UNSIC (http://www.un-influenza.org)
May 16, 2007 - the WHO announced there had been 15 previously unaccounted for cases of bird flu, including 13 deaths, in Indonesia. At the time, 41% of deaths from bird flu have occurred in Indonesia. The age group most at risk worldwide is 10-19, particularly females. The recent controversy over Indonesia's decision not to share samples with WHO have been resolved and WHO is working again with the Ministry of Health. —swoodie

million dollar idea: market sars masks in southeast asia. keep 'em in a warehouse in india somewhere, and ship 'em over during the next outbreak.

better, we make little bird-sized masks. but (if) when it goes human to human, we'll need more than masks! though there were some pretty nice SARS masks. did you see the ones where people put little louis vuitton or chanel logos on theirs?

Autumn leaves are falling and the air outside is cold. These are some of the signs that flu season is upon us once again. You should already know that washing your hands is the easiest, most inexpensive way to prevent any illnesses from spreading, including the flu virus. It is important that you’re aware of the severity of this virus. Viruses want to live also that’s why they will dwell in your body as a parasite, if you will not be careful in taking care of your self and also your environment. About 226,000 people are hospitalized every year, and almost 36,000 people die each year on behalf of the flu. Unfortunately, this virus not only takes a toll on your body, but on your budget as well. Health experts suggest getting an annual flu shot, which typically cost $25-$30. Okay, that sounds like a reasonable price. However, when you have a family of five, those $30 shots add up quickly! In addition to that, other treatments along with hospital visits can be expensive too. For sure you don’t want to spend a lot of money in curing a disease if you know that it is preventable. If you need help this pay period, a payday cash loan can help cover those medical bills, not to mention save you future financial hardships.

Actually, Lisa P, Flu micro-organisms are viruses, not parasites. Parasites spread diseases such as malaria, not viruses like the flu. You're welcome for my intelligence. Told by a 15 year old. Shame.
