This Sunday marks the commencement of the 94th Annual Tour de France. Renowned as one of the most grueling sporting events as well the most recognized of all bicycle races, the Tour de France is a household name world-round. While allegations of doping by various substances have surrounded the sport almost since it its inception in 1903, the use of anabolic steroids have recently come into the fore. Recently, the United States Anti-Doping Agency released its 2007, first-quarter report on tests administered at a total of "49 competitions in the United States...included the World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships, USA Weightlifting’s World Team Qualifier, the Snowboard World Cup #1, track and field’s Millrose Games and the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships," the report states. This graph is a compilation of some of their findings, with the tests conducted for out-of-competition usage and in-competition usage. —guest
