What about the data on users who viewed the speeches online? Furthermore, is this relevant without knowing the political parties of those who watched?

I don't think the lack of political affiliation of the viewer makes this data irrelevant. I'm for Obama, but I was interested in what McCain and Palin had to say as well. Obama said it best during his speech with "there is no red America, no blue America, there is the United States of America!"

I think the large viewership of McCain and Palin is mainly due to the media buzz generated after the Palin announcement. She is unknown to the majority of the public and there were some really bad things surfacing about her. I tuned in to find out more about her and her views on how to fix America, but instead got a lot of hate speech. Very disappointing.
