Are there numbers for how many Baptists, Catholics, non-Christian total? Another interesting angle would be religion + state where 100 Baptists are = to 100 Baptists and not averaged out. I grew up in a Southern Baptist community in Louisiana. There are lots of obese people in my home town. I always just thought it was because we were Southern and poor and preferred friend food. In the Catholic Cajun parts further south where other parts of my family live, there are also lots of obese people, but I always thought it was because they were also Southern and poor and preferred friend food :)

What does a 3000% rate of obesity mean? 3000% of what?

3000% should be 30%. I'm pretty sure what happened was the original numbers (like 30) got formatted as percentage (multiply by 100%).

Too much multicolinearity potential. The data needs to address geographical relations and familiar genetic relations because religious trends can be highly correlated with locale and family traditions.

Also what is n value?

Since religious behavior can affect health behavior--maybe a better study would be to compare religious affiliation with educational obtainment.
