Wow. How cool is that sunspot graph? Amazing how regular the periods are for such a big sun. And amazing that people were counting them in 1749! Wiki says Chinese detected them in 28 BC. And somehow NOAA has reconstructed sunspot numbers back over 11,000 years. Amazing huh? Apparently it is done "based on dendrochronologically dated radiocarbon concentrations". Of course! Meanwhile some areas of Australia are currently missing patches of radio transmissions exactly because of sunspot activity.

It's disconcerting that the graph is getting larger through the years, notice the spikes becoming higher...
