Barry Bonds has hit 735 career home runs as of April 5, 2007, just 20 short of the all-time record (755) set by Hank Aaron in 1974. Data by the appropriately named Swiveler SFGiants.

Interesting. When did he start using steroids? The line is so linear that it doesn't look like the steroid use made any impact on his performance...?
I bet if this graph was next to other HR hitters, the anomoly would be shown. The other graphs would show the decline in skill with age (which is nealry imperceptible here), the improvements with pitching and other factors whihc would keep most graphs from being as linear asa this one.

One thing that has always puzzled me about the steriod issue? If he has been suspected of using them, then has major league baseball tested him? I would think over the years they would have tested him in the random testing like Raphie got. I have never heard of him geting tested positive, or did I miss something somewhere? Wouldn't they be testing him right along? If not, or if they haven't found anything then leave the poor guy alone. That is all I ever hear about on sports talk radio. They should have caught him by now if it were true.
he tested positive for amphetamines which '...made him subject to six drug tests by MLB over the next six months.'
so, he was tested.

amphetamines? Ha! That's like drinking coffee, no high, just more alertness. If he's subject to scrutiny for amphetamines, then the entire baseball league, starting with the commish, should be drug tested for all the legal "amphetamine" in their bodies that coffee has put there!
