Americans aren't the only ones affected by sky-rocketing gas prices. Actually, when compared with other countries, America ranks 46th for the highest gas prices. This graph shows the ten highest prices for a gallon of gas (in USD) among 67 countries around the globe. Gas is $18.43 a gallon in Sierra Leone; $10.37 a gallon in Norway; and $10.14 a gallon in Turkey. On the flip side, the lowest gas prices can be found in Venezuela, where it's 19 cents a gallon. Other countries paying under a dollar for a gallon of gas include Turkmenistan (30 cents), Nigeria (38 cents), Iran (42 cents), and Saudi Arabia (45 cents). Data uploaded by Classy MIT Frat Guy.

Is this the year of the youth vote? CIRCLE reported that a record of 6.5 million citizens under the age of 30 participated in the 2008 presidential primaries and caucuses. Not only has the youth voter turnout dramatically risen since the 2000 election -- this is the first time it has risen since 1971 when the voting age was lowered to 18. This graph shows the youth voter turnout as a share of all voters by state. In addition, a poll from TIME reports that 83 percent of the youth vote believes the 2008 election will have a great impact on the country. And who is the youth voting for? Obama; 53 percent of young voters found Obama to be the most inspirational candidate. Data uploaded by abhi.nemani.
