Guidelines for uploading data
Importing data into Swivel can be hard right now. Swivel is picky about how it wants the data to be organized. Please review the requirements and restrictions to see if your data is likely to import well. If your data doesn't look like this, you may try to get it into the right shape using a spreadsheet program such as Excel. If you hit a snag, please give us a shout on YIM or AIM and we'll try to help right away if we're online:

Your data must have a simple table structure.
Your data must be in a single table, with values arranged in uniform columns of like items. If there is a date, it must be in a column. If columns have headers, they must be on one row.
Here's an example of a table that will import easily:
The date is in a column, text and numeric values are in uniform columns, and column titles are on one line.
However, this data won't import well:
The date goes across, the values, totals, and subtotals are all mixed in, and there seem to be categories and subcategories.
Excel, CSV, web?
Depending on where your data comes from, you may need to take additional steps to prepare data for import. Be sure to read instructions on each of the corresponding upload pages.
