Does the pirate music market help or hurt the music industry? Digital song and album sales are clearly on the rise, but do illegal downloads foster sales or hinder them? Or does letting people hear something first lead them to become loyal fans who purchase subsequent albums and concert tickets for music they would not have bought otherwise? Song downloads out pace album sales by a large amount. What do we have to look forward to as the intended (and unintended) consequences of DRM are realized by the consumer as they move away from the more traditional formats towards digital music?

According to the USDA, it used to be assumed that farming households received all of their income from the farm business. That is no longer the case. This data shows which portion of their total income is from the farm vs other business.
