Eyegreen: The huge difference between the African-American and Hispanic/Mexican plight is that Blacks were hunted down like animals, shackled, and forcibly brought here against their will under horrible and torturous conditions. Mexicans subject themselves to similar conditions willingly, even paying for it, knowing of the risks, yet continue to flood our country illegally, DEMANDING rights as if they were entitled to any. I find both instances repugnant. Illegal immigrants are instantly criminals having willingly broken the law, becoming more criminal by breaking even more laws as they work, bear their ilk for citizenship, food stamps, and welfare, while demanding rights as if they were entitled to citizenship. This is aberrant and disgusting. They no longer come here looking for honest work, but for free hand outs. I lived in Mexico for 20 years where I had to have my legal stay papers AND my working papers, AND abide by their laws. I am the victim of grand-theft auto, extortion, forgery, my U.S. passport mutilated, all of my identification stolen, along with that of my minor daughters, all at the hands of Mexican government officials. Mexico is the world's rats' nest where criminals are rewarded and all victims punished. I ask the Mexican population what positive contribution they have recently made to the U.S., as Alberto Gonzalez brings corrupt Mexican politics to OUR side of the border, and our welfare system and economy are undermined. E-colli and salmonella, which never existed in the States before the Diarrhea Trail, along with the same poor service and ineptitude you find in every facet of Mexican government and society. I am sick of your whining. Criminals should have no rights as they have chosen their path willingly. No one held a gun to any of their heads, unless it was by their own people. Proud-I totally agree with you and commend you for your perseverance in the face of such enormous and ignorant adversity. I also feel sorry for the families of such ignorant arrogants. You are NOT a useless human being and you keep going and make good, pay no attention to those fools. Proud Mexican-all you can do is swear, another shining example of what your people have contributed. None of the above are excuses for criminal behavior and I believe we should relieve the tax payers by making them work, growing their own food or starve. No rights nor mercy for criminals. darthfatty: The amount of money stolen by Enron alone, whose chief officers were all white, blows away the combined dollar value of all thefts any other race in this country is convicted for in a year. This does not even speak to the crimes committed by whites that do not result in conviction. When you consider the lives ruined by crimes committed by rich whites that are later labeled "scandals" through banking, real estate and other financial scams, there is no comparing the amount of money stolen by whites to any other race. But, because they do it from behind desks, wearing suits, and use false figures and inaccurate data as their weapons, their acts are not considered crimes. With this money, whites are able to hire attorneys and lobbyists to exonerate them of other crimes, such as murder and illegal drug sales. Even worse, the stolen money buys political lobbying to prevent their crimes from being illegal. The white-dominated US government is the biggest crime organization in the world. They illegally deal arms to, and fund in other ways, terrorist groups around the world, including the Taliban. How many people were killed in 9/11? That event can be traced back to the CIA's (under the command of George Bush Senior) sale of arms to the Taliban in the '70's. A crime nobody was ever convicted of. During the Korean and Vietnam wars, the CIA trafficked arms out of the country (see above) and heroin in. This funded the wars, and sedated a large group of US citizens, mostly minorities, making them the ideal candidates for military service. Another crime that has not yielded a single conviction. The data in this graph does not indicate the number of crimes committed by various groups, it merely indicates the number of people convicted of crimes, a fate that is easy to escape, given enough money.
