The table shows how google searches for olympics has varied in India. Understandably, we have two spikes in 2004 and 2008. However, the interest index for 2008 is double that of 2004. Attributed to two reasons - Increased usage of Internet by Indians - Increased interest in Olympics (2008 Beijing Olympics has been the best performance for India at Olympics with 1 Gold and 2 Bronze medals)
