For my senior thesis at school I looked at what happened to retail establishments, employment, and retail sales within MSAs over five year intervals following Walmart entry into a market. The data contained herein was captured via continuous calls to customer service over a two week period as well as field calls to actual stores. I hope it's of use to others interested in studying the retail giant's market impact.
